How do I prepare for my distant Reiki session

If you have a specific intention you wish to set for this session, let me know and I will focus on that. Drink extra water. It’s a good idea to avoid alcohol or recreational drugs as they alter your consciousness.

Getting ready for your distant Reiki Session
Try to do this 15 min before your session so you don’t feel rushed.
The only thing that you really need to do is set the intention to receive the healing. You must give your consent as Reiki cannot be forced on anyone. Trust that you will receive exactly what you need in that moment.

Here are some suggestions to have a deeper experience and get the most out of the session.

1. Wear loose, comfortable clothing, whatever you are most relaxed in.  Find a comfortable space where you will not be disturbed for the next hour or so.
2. Clear the energy of your space and yourself. You can burn incense or smudge with sage if you have it. Use a selenite wand or simply use your intention and ask for any negative energies to be cleared.
3. Play your favorite soothing music.
4. Ground yourself by taking some slow, deep breaths.
5. Say a prayer inviting the energy in. Send gratitude for this gift.
e.g. I am open to receiving healing energy. I choose to release all blocks and negative energies that are not working for my greatest good. (you can say specific things too, that you wish to release) It can be your own words.
6. You can set an intention for the session or simply be open to the experience. This does not have to be an elaborate process. You can think about it or write it down.
Some sample intentions can be..
– What would I like to invite into my life or release from it?
– What changes do I need to make to my current routine to feel more in alignment and at peace?
– What can I start doing or stop doing to bring in greater abundance in my life / or attract the love of my life / worry less about my child/parent/family etc.
7. You may hold a favorite crystal in your hand or keep it in your pocket.
8. Call upon your Guardian Angels to support you in this healing. (Everyone without exception has Guardian Angels).
9. Observe any sensations you may feel in your body. Each session is different, even for the same person.
10. Try to rest for sometime after the session, instead of jumping right back into your daily routine.

What does a Reiki session feel like?
Each person has completely different sensations. Some feel it very subtly, some have vivid experiences.
If you are up and about and working, you may have a subtler experience. It is almost always deeper when you are relaxed with your eyes shut in a meditative state.
You may feel temperature changes, get warm or colder, or feel very deeply relaxed. Your breathing pattern may change.
Your body may feel heavy, sinking into your bed/chair, or it may feel light with a floaty sensation.
You may experience twitching or involuntary movements. You may feel energetic shivers / current like sensations passing through your body.
Depending on which of your senses are strongest, you may see colors, visions, or hear messages. If you are asleep during the session, you may have vivid dreams.
Regardless of the experience, rest assured you have received the healing even if you did not feel anything. The energy is very intelligent and only works for your highest good and greatest healing. It knows where to go, where you need it most and how much you need.
If at any time, you are feeling overwhelmed, you can say Stop and the energy will stop flowing. Reiki always respects free will and cannot be forced onto anyone.
Holy Fire® III Reiki, which is the lineage of Reiki that I practice is pretty incredible in that it works continuously even after you have completed your session. It heals issues spontaneously as they come up. People notice benefits in the coming days. They may feel a general sense of calm and alignment over the next few days, or start noticing signs and synchronicities they weren’t aware of earlier.

Why are we not on Zoom / Skype?
Distant Reiki Healing is an energetic soul level connection. Technology does not aid this connection in any way, so it is simply unnecessary. I will have my eyes closed while channeling and if you are in a relaxed mode yourself, sometimes technology can be a hindrance to that.
Having tried both, I personally prefer distant over in-person now. I love being able to remain in that zen state in my bed for as long as I wish or even take a little nap after, instead of having to jump right up and pay for my session and drive off somewhere.
Remote sessions are equally powerful and effective and has no disadvantage over in-person.

What can I do to continue the healing after my session?
After your session, I will email you my observations about any blocks with your chakras and/or sensations I perceived. I also type and send out any and all messages or answers as received without interpretation.
Each session is unique. Most people usually feel lighter, more relaxed and refreshed. Makes notes on how you felt. Notice if you perceive anything differently. Do you now see a person or a situation in a different light?
Reiki can trigger a detox so you may feel a little tired, and need extra rest the next couple of days. Be sure to hydrate extra well to flush out any toxins that were released during the session. Relax as needed.
Take an Epsom & Himalayan salt bath, consume nourishing foods with high Prāna, go for a walk each day.

Do write for any questions or experiences. I look forward to connecting with you.
